sedo's main page doesnt seem to load and i see the following message

whats the problem?

Maybe they are getting to much traffic and have growing pains

Have you ever used a stopwatch and timed how long it takes for a sedo parked page to load. If you haven't, try it. Their servers are horribly slow so maybe they are upgrading.

Checking there site earlier tonight I saw they put a notice up saying they are upgrading to faster servers, so let's hope it will be faster in loading time for all our parked pages, when they get back up

Moving a site (even a big one with large databases) doen't require the site to be taken offline, this can easily be done somewhat seemlessly...

What I think the situation is it that sedo doen't use there own equiptment, which is a little scary if there using some budget host. They had a good Idea when they started, they just can move forward.... I won't expect more from them.

maybe sedo is being hosted on their main investors servers(oneandone - AKA united internet) this would probably explain for the downtime
