Is name.com trust company ?

Hi

I register more than 50 domains in this registrar but happened new story for me .

I decided to register she.im and power.im in last week .

I do it and when i pay money (paypal) and in final step one error shown to me ( failed error )

I contact to name.com supporter for it .

he told me it is an error in the system that he try to solve it .

in the next day i try to register these domain again but i see it registered by name.com ( check whois)

Is this behavior correct ?

It is trustworthy company. I have several .im domains with them. Yeah, they had problem while registering .im domains but they didn't actually registered the names you were trying to register...

Actually those both domains are registered THROUGH Name.com by someone like us and not registered by Name.com staff member

Name.com is a trustworthy company, I've used them for many years.

And as Abdul points out, the names were not registered by Name.com but by a customer (just like you and me).

Sounds like a front running issue to me, i have read a few on here about this registrar, im not saying it is the registrar themselves, but several people have had this experience when regging at name.com, it's a red flag in my book.

Name.com is a trustworthy company but Im not surprised even if name.com snapped the domains from you. Name.com aka Spot Domain LLC was taking hundreds of tasting activity for these few years.

It is strange how both names were regged at Name.com by the same person and at the same time by the looks of it, I think I would give Name.com a call and ask them about this or ask to speak to Mr. Ashor and see what they say.

I am sure Name.com as very reputable company would do such cheap act... I have recently registered the following domains with Name.com and have always secured it without any problem:

Download.im
Downloads.im
Europe.im
Free.im
Webhosting.im

So I don't think they would go after She.im and Power.im

We did not want you to lose out on the domains to a third party just because of our connectivity issues, so we went ahead and registered the domains for you and asked you to send us manual funds so that we can transfer the domains in to your account.

The domains are still available for you at the regular .IM registration price. We can either transfer the domains to you as soon as we receive the funds for them, or we can delete those domains and you can attempt to register them at another Registrar of your choice.

If you would like to pay for the domains and get them transferred to your account ......

Ah... so Mr. Ashor is Name.com related, good to hear you got the names, something was strange but in this case it turned out to be a good strange lol

Personally i find this whole state of affairs extremely STRANGE.

It beggars belief that name.com regged the domains on your behalf, under a third party because of "connection issues" sorry I don't buy it.

Glad to see that you solved the problem.
I myself think Name.com is telling the truth about this story, and it's a good news to see that they grabbed the domains to preserve it for you.
Never had a single problem with them, they seems a serious company instead of many others.
