domain iPodder.tv vs .com ??

Hi - Wondered how you would appraise a .tv if you knew what the .com or .org had sold for?

Eg, iPodder.org just sold for $25,005 on GoDaddy :o

I own ipodder.tv but I honestly don't know if I should expect to get $100, $1,000 or $10,000 !

Any help much appreciated!

iPodder.tv has TM issues and it's a .TV. You could honestly expect to get $0 IMHO.

Try registering more quality names in .COM. Good luck!

You can never take a clear cut and dry approach to figuring out the value of a .com relative to a .tv - Impossible.

I have heard some of the heavy TV investors say they value a TV at 1% of the .com but even then there are too many variables...

How exaggerated and overpriced is that .com along with every other million dollar .com???

How undervalued is that .tv right now? Track the TV MarketPlace sales here. Most everything seems like it should be worth $1000, but we still see some killer tv sales here for $10, $50, $100, $500...

There is a ton of value and potential right now in ANY .TV doman names, It is much easier to make a killer ROI for me rather than 2-3 worder .coms.

But your domain is a serious TradeMark violation. That will never ever be cool, so If it is a new reg, send it back to the Registrar for a refund immediately (grace delete).

Do a little more research before spending your hard earned cash, and check out the TV MarketPlace here. There have been a LOT of great TV auctions here lately!

The only reason why people were so dumb to buy ippoder.org for so much was because it was a "pagerank 9", and also it had a lot of backlinks to it, and could sell ipods. Of course, it is A TM and can be taken away by Apple.

.org was bought for that price because of google PR9 from natural links not the keyword.
seo guys would buy fdkjedf8934x.info that has a ton of links and google PR for lots of cash.=)

The ipodder dot com had Page Rank of 9 and gazillion backlinks that's why it sold for that much.
I also agree that dot com is king and many people trust the extension.
