My boss opened this site and he wanted me to go get some feedback.

What do you think? It's his iPhone forum.

He worked on the skin himself. Personally, I think it's pretty cool.

I like the header, but I don't like the forum titles being centered instead of left aligned. It makes it harder for me to scan down them quickly.

Although I'm relatively sure he is going to get sued for the name and using Apple's logo without permission.

The skin, template and colors are awesome but...
I do not really think the center alignment for all text is that great, at least not what forum surfers used to. I would certainly change this to the default left alignment.

The top header > The font size used in the logo is too big in my opinion, I suggest that the size gets reduced some. I also suggest going with a smaller logo..the apple one


These are only two problems with current design. Once these are improved, I really have to agree about the quality of colors, folder icons, and template overall.

Actually, i find the apple logo not all too bad, the text part adjacent to it, is a little on the uneventful side - i'm sure there's a better way to concept a logo/banner. When the forum is already coined to be an iPhone idea center, might as well go all out and present the threads with applicable iPhone icons, utilize the things that Apple is known for, a squeaky clean interface that sets itself apart from the rest by its appearance, which also includes the use of a FavIcon.
Copyright problems by using Apple's logo? Yes, most likely. However, if there's not direct commercial application behind it, such as the selling of iPhones, you might just get away with it being a "fan site", but even then i'd be worried.

When I think of an iphone, i think of something sleek looking and black. Incorporate the iphone in it someway. I think intelbanks website is a good example of incorporating the logo into everything, the backdrop, logo, favicon, and forum icons. I think you need that customized effect or affect...always get them confused .

If that is a PHPBB forum, put powered by phpbb back into it. Or phpbb will come after you. You cant just use a free forum, credit is due.

Get rid of the apple logo, think of something original. Plus they will get mad if you become bigger. Been there with other "fan forums"
