That appears to be a fan blog...and given the domain name, it could likely be considered fair use. ipadaccessory however, sounds official...which would be a trademark issue. Plus, who would buy it just to make a blog? No one on here would pay money to risk losing the domain.

I checked that example domain, they get 102,800 views per month, and I confirm they do earn ad revenue.

They are not a fan blog... they are a little side business that earns ad income. iPad is a high CPC keyword, so I think they do quite nice. There are literally hundreds of sites like this, the legal complication is no problem since these sites help spread brand awareness and just give tips and reviews.

Let's assume there are no legal problems and that the domain will be used for a review site, and earn ad revenue and affiliate income. How much is this domain worth?

Thats even worse, giving the TM holder ammunition to sue you, you cannot earn money from someone else's TM.

Just take it as a learning experience, get rid of the name and move on

Why would they let you take an affiliate margin of the use of their mark.

They are better to sue you, take the name away, and sell the products that bear their mark directly.

I just hope your legal team is smarter than there's, but something tells me it's not.

as others said and you found out, stay out of trademarks. I guess there might be an exception in a US court if you commented on ipads and their accessories, but not sure if UDRP judges care that much.

Apple sells iPad accesories so there's confusion.

don't worry..try to approach the apple only and have a chat or conversation with them..if no legal issue then will be a good domain for you...
