REPORT: Ted Cruz On Obama's Internet Surrender

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is spearheading a congressional effort in both chambers to stop the Obama administration from giving away control of the internet to rogue international operatives.
In Senator Cruz' recent address to the Senate, he reminded his colleagues that the Obama administration is employing executive overreach to "jam" through this this surrender of the Internet that will undermine the United States' power and influence in the world with no potential to undo it in the future:
"If the Obama administration hands control of the Internet over to this international organization, it's not like the next president can magically snap his or her fingers and bring it back. Unscrambling those eggs may well not be possible. I suspect that's why the Obama administration is trying to jam it through on September 30, to get it done in a way that the next president can't undo it, that the Internet is lost for generations to come. To stop the giveaway of our Internet freedom, Congress should act by continuing and by strengthening the appropriations rider in the continuing resolution that we will be considering this month, by preventing the Obama administration from giving away control of the Internet. I urge my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to come together, to stand together and ensure that we protect freedom of the Internet for generations to come."
On Wednesday, Senator Cruz, who chairs the Senate Subcommittee on Oversight, Agency Action, Federal Rights and Federal Courts, convenes a hearing titled "Protecting Internet Freedom: Implications of Ending U.S. Oversight of the Internet." The hearing will investigate the possible dangers of the Obama administration's proposal to relinquish oversight of the Internet.
We now plan to deliver the petitions to Capitol Hill tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon before Senator Cruz' special hearing on Wednesday!

Joseph, This new "control group" may be comprised of enemies of our nation, enemies of liberty, authoritarian regimes, and/or radicals who would censor or shut down Internet communications at their whim.
This is a monumental mistake that endangers our national security, individual rights, and religious liberties.
The Stop President Obama's Surrender of the Internet petitions will be delivered to key leaders on this issue in both chambers.
