Insinuate.org, any opinions? Was also wondering how .org extensions compares to .com and .net when parking. thanks

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I think its based on traffic and clicks, not extensions.
I'd stay away from these types of one word orgs. They dont fit and you will never get type in unless the site is developed and SEO'd
Good Luck

For parking a .org will work as well as most others, but the problem is more to do with the domain itself. I have quite a few one-word domains like this and they are a bit odd since how do you optimize them for parking and who will ever buy them? But if you can answer just one of those questions they may be worth investing in.

So it may be really hard to find a buyer with a large budget, I think a .com could sell for $xxx, but I would guess this one would be $x to $xx
Some parking providers allow you to optimize your domain and also get some links to them. That may be the only way you'll ever get parking traffic. But if you can optimize it for something like "hollywood rumors" or "political blogging" or "media analysis", then I think it could work with the first one being the best for parking. :)

But I see Estibot.com apparises your domain at $620 which is not accurate but makes me think my apprasial was a little low. In the end it really depends on the buyer...

I think reg fees. Better get some traffic to it.

Estibot also tells me the word (Insinuate) is searched almost 27,000 times per month. I wonder how much of that traffic I could get to my site if I parked it and optimized it being a .org? I really would rather keep the domain and try to make money off the parking. Also does anyone have any luck with GoDaddy cash parking? Im thinking about transfering all my domains from sedo to godaddy. Thanks

My experience with basic SEDO parking was really bad. I here their premium program is better. I think you have to pay to park at Godaddy and I have never heard anyone say it was worth it. I park at TrafficZ and recommend it, but I think you need to have 100 domains to open an account. You might try Noomle.com if you have an adsense account. It works pretty good and you can add content and optimze pretty well.

27,000? Maybe, but I check with Google and they say about 49,000, but that is the broad match. Phrase match is about 40,000 and exact is 33,100. I suspect most of those exact searches may be people looking for a definition. But Google does say the average CPC is $0.34 which I don't think is bad for a keyword like this.

But here is what may be bad... do a search for "Insinuate" at Google and Yahoo and I don't see any ads come up. So for parking you may want to optimize it for something related... maybe "insinuate clothing"? Good Luck!

Rather low $xxx or higher $xx right now. Needs development or traffic. I can't off the top of my head think of what I'd do with this name - that's usually my criteria. If I can't think of three ways I'd develop it, I usually will not look at buying it.

Does changing your DNS servers to a parking server decrease your chances of crawlers finding your domain for search engines?

---------- Post added at 02:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:19 PM ----------

Ive submitted some parking domains to major search engines but their not coming up and its been quite awhile.

It won't change their ability to find it, but they could decline to include it if they don't like paking pages...

Just because you can't find it doesn't mean it's not indexed. Search for it with the domain like "namepros" or "namepros.com". Or you can use "site:http://www.namepros.com" to see how many pages they know about from your site. Also, try siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com.

Generally, yes. You wont get indexed, you need to develop a site for that. Parking is generally for type in/passive traffic, not search referred.

In my experience, changing the DNS servers won't how your site is found, but if a search engine doesn't like the parking service you are on, they may not list your site.

Most parking providers only want you to get type-in traffic while others allow search traffic from old links. Some providers don't mind if you get new links and promote your parked domain just as if it was a site. We put original content on most of our parked domains and they get indexed and some even rank on the first page of results for the domain keywords...

One example is our BandDomainName.com and it works best if there is not too much competition for the keyword phrase. :)

Where can I go to get parking that will let you put original content for my domains? Im cuurently parking at sedo, is sedo bad for getting indexed on the search engines? Im also thinking about GoDaddy cash parking but I dont know how good that would be for getting indexed. Thank you for all your help.

Im currently parking the following domains:

IvorySatin.com
Insinuate.org
SilverSponsor.com
Pathic.net
OverheadShower.com
Vidimus.net

I get a few dollars a day from these but none are indexed. I would like to find out the best place to go to help them get indexed. Thanks

Perhaps look at WhyPark. Otherwise, build your own minisite.

I just got done parking some names at Exoclick. They have really good customer service and they specialize in getting your parked names on search engines. I'll see how this goes for awhile...
The only site ive built is Jellybra.com and it comes up on page 1 on google. Probably because its a hosting plan.
