While I see a lot of value in some of the presented ideas we can only guess where the internet we know today will end up in the future.
Who knows, with IoT coming up there is a potential for embedded devices to " roam " logically in domain zones automatically based on .gtld and geo region? Imagine a self-driving car connecting from, say, *.barcelona to *.paris and ignoring all the rest of the web to be more efficient or faster...

But generally for us I'd say this sounds a bit like diluting digital property values?
