good .info domains with strong keywords and those that fit the extension are worth money. most of the .infos registered while they were free however were not good domains and are worth little if anything.

They are still free, but any .infos worth anything have been registered.

They are free, and they just aren't a .com.

Generally, .info means information. So it really depends on what name did you register. A lalilala.info is of course well, worth pretty much $0 but something like school.info will worth hell more. So...domain world, depends on names and also how related is the name and its .ext.

I can only assume that the people who knock .info are those that failed to get any good ones!! See cera's post :bingo:

They are without doubt at the top of of "new extension" sales now and in the future.

Buy if you can, but remember, - a bad name in any extension is still a bad name, a good name in a so called bad extension has the potential to be worth good money.

well you are right on most of what you've said ...

but " I can only assume that the people who knock .info are those that failed to get any good ones!! "" i disagree...

my guess is that who had succeded to get any good ones , saw also the potential with the infos....
my opinion...
and this is not the first thread when i say ....
INFO is a great TLD because most of the web is INFORMATION ......
so it fits very well
only for beeing free doesn't mean they worth zero ....
i wasn't here when the .coms were free and now i regret that !!!!!

See all those lovely city .info's that sold for big bucks - I know of three , not quite of equal value ( but valuable), that will drop in the next two weeks.

i would say they are worth less than $5 for almost all of them, but a few like NewYork, are worth a ton

Everyone saying that all the non-premium .infos are worth less than $5 or less then $2 or something like that, you're insane.

I have jewishfaith.info and muslimfaith.info, these aren't premiums, but they are certinly worth more then a lot of the lesser .coms.

Well maybe not insane - but definitely mistaken.

I figure if a parked domain name earns it's renewal fee then it's worth at least the normal reg. fee and everyone of my 18 'free .info's' will have earned their keep through GoogleAds well before renewal time - some are bringing in more than renewal fee each month.

BedInABag.info / AidsTesting.info / LogHomePlans.info >>>>> Premium .info?

Good Name Domain = Good Price

Hello
I think that good .info name is value domain, but it must be GOOD domain name.
Good domains names are names of cities, countries and popular products.
You must only find one that is not registered :)
Ofcourse they are cheaper than .com and .net domains.
Good Luck

p.s. I have sold 2 .info domains for 300$ each :D

The value is still there in a sense, but its not the same anymore. I dont know about other people, but when I see '.info for sale' threads, I usually see 25, generally rubbish .info names. That can put people off entering threads that, by chance, have a little gem of a .info name.

Agree, Rob. That's why people should THINK before they reg a domain. It affects the domain market badly with people who simply don't think and take free things for granted.

Those who managed to sell a few hundred dollars or even thousand dollars for .info, any secret behind that other than nice domain name? Hehe..

Merry merry,
Flora. *<|
