I found the reason.

I was scursing the telecom authorities for low speed of my internet connection. It is broad band. And still dragging as a snail. OK. Now I got the reason. Severe of the cable!

India has at least three incoming cables for internet.

The total bandwidth available is something like 19TB.

We currently only use a small fraction of that for all usage, certain providers might be hit, but its not a national problem.
