Hello!

I'm a web developer and since last year I started being interested in domaining. I learned a lot about appraising and prioritizing, about the domain industry in general, from NamePros and I'm really grateful for that, wish I only found this place sooner!

I wasn't providing feedback on the domain, just giving my opinion on getting a BA.

If you want feedback on the domain then once you've got a BA, you can then list for professional appraisal.
Thanks for your feedback mate. I'll list it for professional appraisal then, as you say.

My basic rule of thumb in domaining: if you are trying to explain what your domain means, usually it's not a good one.

Welcome to Namepros :)
I see what you're getting at.

However, as "technical literacy" among normal web surfer increases, value of this domain is sure to increase over time.

Anyway, I also have FaceParlour.com which definitely doesn't needs any explanation. Now "Parlour" & "Parlor" are UK & US words resp. & hence both are right.

Trying to sell this to a Bridal Wear site at FaceParlor.com....:xf.smile:

Doing this for the first time, so no idea how to do it. Thinking about calling them but no idea how to break ice...So any suggestions anyone?

Appreciate any help.

Welcome @novaseth -- hoarding is not a term I would use. "Miner" is a much more appropriate term imo. The fact of the matter is we have a "situation" whereby dot-com rules the roost.

That's just the way it is.

There is a shortage of supply.

However - there is a pool of 80,000 names dropping every day. It is logical and rational that this "block" of domains gets "mined" every day for the good of the community.

In other words, a "dominer".

Welcome to the forum @howudoin8..
Friendly advice, rather than crash and hog someone else thread.. you should start your own!
"2.3 Do not promote active auctions or for sale listings in discussion threads or contests."

Anyway, back to the main topic of this thread..
wish I only found this place sooner!
So do I!!!

Although I'm not running any active auction or for sale listing but I see your concern.

Will keep that in mind for future.

That makes perfect sense and I agree with it. The problem though is that in order to mine I think you have to understand first what's of value and what's not. Otherwise you end up hoarding big rocks for subjective reasons. Unfortunately I learned this the hard way and at this point I'm still hoarding quite a few rocks but it should only get better from here :xf.smile:

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Welcome to NamePros NovaSeth

lol @ Hoarder .. I can relate .. I think one of the best ways to tell if you're a "good" domainer .. is if you can say no to buying a decent but not great domain .. even better if you can drop that name at the first renewal! lol

Anyhow .. best of luck to you moving forward .. hopefully you won't end up hoarding domains in your account more than I can hoard cookies in my belly! ;)
