I'm new, need help with a 404 error

I spent a month working on a site, and now I can't get into it to see what it looks like! I finally got into the ftp after trying and working all day, but now I can't access anything on the website at all, I just get a generic 404 error.

My DH's computer won't let him on either. We are using a router, a Linksys wireless (WRT54GC), and everyone I spoke to can see the site except us. I called my internet provider, and they don't know why it's doing that, they suspect it's my router, but I looked and I don't see anything blocked.

Thoughts? It's hard to work this way and getting the change over done. I could see the old site just fine. I don't know if there are any problems or what.

Your IP's are not blocked by the server are they?

Hey, have you tried trying to access the site through a proxy server? If you go through one and can see it, I would say you have been banned by the server. This would explain why you and your DH's computer cannot access it, as using the same router would mean you have the same IP.

I spoke to someone from linksys and got nothing, they said it was my ISP also. I called my ISP and they were useless LOL. They blamed it on godaddy, who the hosting is with, and godaddy blames it on my ISP. Either way, I still can't see it, and it's very hard to modify things this way LOL

How can I see if my IP is blocked on the server? I looked and didn't see anything.

Also, I have never used a proxy server, how do I do that?

Sorry I have so many questions, this is my first website for someone else.

I did get the proxy server to work, and I did get on my site. Now I just need to know how I got blocked and how I can fix it.

Can anyone help? Our hosting is with godaddy. Thank you!
