I can't seem to find the right topic for this so, here it is.

IIS is so screwey. This is the second time this has happened and the first time it magically went back to normal after a long time.

The web hosting part works and I can access all files through it, but it cant read (generate the html i assume) from asp files! I just receive a 500 error. I found an amazing number of posts of random forums with this same problem and no one ever had a solution.

I am receiving two event errors every time i try to run an asp file; 10004 and 36. this is what microsoft has to say about it: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;297519
it doesnt help because both those accounts have access to logon as a batch job and i still have the problem.

I have reinstalled IIS, restarted comp, restarted IIS, nothing seems to fix it. For being such a common problem, I sure am having a lot of trouble finding a solution.

help me out!
thanks.

yay i fixed it!

I must say that microsofts knowledge base is increadibly deap, incidently, increadibly hard to find anything. This is how i fixed it:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q309051&

I hope other people with this problem find this page.

The issue was that the wam account got desynced. The only cause I can come up with is the backdoor trojan I found on one of the networked comps that was sending bogus packet attacks through the intranet. It got on the 'web server' (:)) comp and some crazy things happend with some accounts.
