What does the domain mean?
I know LLLLL dot coms have a chance in selling if it is "pronounceable" and, especially if there is meaning.
I have one myself

Best of luck bud!

Want2learn,

Yeah, a little more background I think is needed.

The domain is 5 characters long which is a plus. It does rolling into "kat" but I think the downside is the double "ii".

Even if you were to develop it into something online, I believe people would always be going to ikat.com.

Now, a little research reveals that iikat relates to a children's toy or game of some kind. As long as it is not a copyright relation, you might have something with this.

I think it might be worth something as long as it is not a copyright issue. What it's worth, I am not sure. Could be just reg. fee to maybe thousands depending upon how it relates to children.

Good luck.

Ikat is a form of fabric weaving, essentially. So iikat.

Interactive keyboard and terminal

lol

Def a hand reg I think that was just 5l and for some reason I wanted to start with ii.

***** Just saw post about kids*****

If it turns into anything positive it will be dumb luck. Like I liked the sound of kat. And I liked the double i which now and today would have to be a special domain for me to purchase a double I domain.

Search "iikat MSP".

Something Australian for children.

I'm a wholesale buyer and reseller.

I wouldn't take it for free.

So in the end its value is reg fee or less in any reseller venue.

I don't see any enduser value either.

Sorry for the brutal honesty, but I hope it helps.

I'm afraid the double i kills it, this isn't more than reg fee IMO. Stop hand registering for now and offload what you have, you have too many!

This isn't a current hand reg. It is a hand ref of course. Back in January. I am now going through most of my domains trying to gauge value and industry.

You are correct, I have many, too many! I wouldn't want the upcoming appraisal requests to indicate more and new hand regs:) I have them, so I might as well try and sell them. I have the summer off from school.

You might be proud of me, I was just looking at available names to reg, but I resisted. Honestly, I am not going to reg it, but I was all set to reg UpBust.com I figured that would be great for a plastic surgeon or a woman's apparel company, like a bra maker. You know, keep the boobies up and supported! The word bust refers to women's breasts. Ofcouse bust can mean other things like failing or failure . . . Lebron James' Cavs look like a big bust this season.

Okay so I just talked myself into hand reg-ing UpBust.com. LOL

Anytime you are constructive in your feedback, be brutally honest. I really appreciate it. And I appreciate you taking your time to respond:)

Step away from the keyboard @Want2learn .. step away! lol

iikat = One of those domains that looks cool .. but I'm fairly sure would simply never sell .. unless extremely lucky. Again it's all a numbers game ... plus contrary to what most people think .. from everything I've learned, randomish 5L's don't actually sell all that much .. so with iikat you're starting with a very very low probablity.

With 5L's I go for

1- Alternate spellings or things with actual meaning like 2Buns (hamburger), 10Bag (dimebag), AdJox (Advertising Jocks), Ahdio (audio), Eroji (erotic emoji .. lol), PykUp (pickup), Quilz (quills = writing service), Tawwk (talk), Twavo (travel) etc

2- Super pronounceable made up brandables that pass the radio-test with flying colours like Heyaz, Jeevu, Oluyo, Smesk, Vuzuo, Wazow, Wozaz, Yimeo .. there are names that first look like this that become available regularly .. but after really looking at them .. the percentage is actually really small. Most are actually a little awkward off the tongue even if they are pronounceable.

Those are a good chunk of my 5L .. I'm happy with most .. but I'm looking less and less to 5L just for the sake of 5L unless they fall into that first category (unless it's a crazy repeater or pattern).

@Ategy.com

Thank you for the feedback. I just want to reiterate these appraisals I am requesting are not "new" hand regs. What I am doing is going back through my list of domains. I started in December 2016, so to a Domain Vet, it is ALL new hand regs. However, I have slowed down much of my hand regs, though last week I did go a little VR crazy;) Anyways, I suspect "most" of my appraisal requests will be domains from December-March . . . which doesn't feel like yesterday!

Today I would very likely pass over iikat.com. But I have it now, and I prefer to try and sell it vs just dropping it!

OK .. then ..

1- Buy a time machine
2- Go back to 1 minute before you hand reg'ed the domain
3- Unplug past you's keyboard ;)

Also in future to avoid confusion use "Hand Reg'ed" ;)
