if you find a good domain not registered by anybody else yet, do you usually register com/net/org or only com?

if the selling value of blabla.com is 10000
how about .net/.org ?

Typically ".COM" yes, I don't understand the rest ... I guess it would depend.
All the best!

for me, it depends on the name, if the .com is available i'll reg it, and depending on the name maybe the .net

if i reg the .net i always point the .com to it

yea, if the .com is worth $1000, then I'm sure the .net and .org is worth something

Usually not. But depends on the situation, and also how much money is left in my paypal account ;)

Do not the buyers want all three together if they have a serious project? Or was that so in the early years, but not now ?

Well if they really wanted all 3 for serious projects they would've bought all three when they bought the first one. So obviously when they first starte it wasn't that important to them. Unless the company really takes off it prolly won't become important enought o them for the domain to be worth enough for you to take the time and get it.

If god whispered to me I would probably be too scared sh@$less to do anything :)

Kidding aside just the .com

Unless the domain/site is a potentially valuable asset, I usually only register the .com. Then again, I've only ever bought one domain that wasn't a .com and that was because there wasn't anything else worthwhile for that subject available as a .com.

if you have the .net, .biz, whatever, it's a good marketing tactic to say 'hey, the .com sold for 80 billion dollars, this is worth something too'.
in my experience, even if people have a little voice in the back of their heads that says 'i dunno, me(substitute your name here), this domain isn't the .com, it may not have value', there's this other, more impulsive and thus persuasive voice that says "hey, the .com sold for 80 billion! the .net must be worth at least something..."
and then you buy it. and can't resell it. and then you email the person who bought the .com and say 'hey, you need this .net also!" and then they say either
1) "what??? i bought the .com for 80 billion dollars! i can't afford to pay for a sandbox for my kid, let alone to buy a .net"
2) "dude, that's trademarked, i'm suing you'
3) <absolutely nothing> *crickets*
4) hmm, ok, i'll give you 20 bucks.

Once again this is just in my experience... it goes both ways. Either it's worthless or it's worthless but the .com sold for a bunch so people are influenced by that and purchase it.

I hope this post has changed your life.

Cheeeeers,
John

Well, havent there been some .net's that have sold at comparable values to the .com's given the current market state (*chime in duke*).
