The problem I see here is a limited market and strong branding in the offerings that already exist which lowers your chances of finding an end user., but good luck with it.
So you identify K9's? You sell DNA kits? You run a chip company?
It means something but it doesn't mean something specific.
I doubt anyone would find it remotely interesting until it had high search position on lots of generic dog id key words or traffic related to that - and then it wouldn't be the primary domain just a traffic source... so not a lot of $ in my opinion.
