Thank you so much!

The registration fee was more than $900 because is a three letter domain.
I guess I learned my lesson.

Well. The rules are registration fee or higher. I don't know if that applies to premiums, but until defined, dotRepublican registration fee.

After appraising it, I got to thinking that this does make a good campaign domain... $900ish lesson learned though.

I think so too. Specially for 2016. But we'll see.
Thanks for your help!
I'm new in the domain world.

0, nada...I'm not a fan of either republicans, the extension, or 99% of the new GTLd's, so if I were you I'd grace delete. But...for what it is, it get's the point across...so maybe develop and get Koch, or someone with deep pockets to buy for 2X-3X your investment. Worst case, you're on the hook for $900.

I think the domain is brandable and is worth at least $1800 right now (I deducted from my initial valuation because it's on a new gtld, on a long gtld, that iama would have been better, and the current difficulty of educating the public that it's not iamrepublican.com).

Don't give up hope so quickly. Think about an end user. Directly contact politicians or the political action committees (PACs or Super-PACs) which have millions in donations. They have tons of other people's money to spend that's unaccounted for so let them give you some of it. I think it would be best to build out a site first or to have a mock-up site that you swap out each republican politician depending on who you are selling to at that time. It would make an easier sale if they can visualize it. Or do the complete opposite and use the site as a satire about what it means to be a republican and sell the domain to a Democrat supporting PAC.

Use the domain to sell T-shirts, bumper stickers, and other party or anti-party supporting items. You'd at least be able to recoup your reg fees.

Don't spend your energy trying to flip to another domainer. It's too high of a risk for domainers unless you've built up monthly traffic to the site and/or profit.

Don't wait until 2016 to sell. Try to sell it now while you still have some momentum of the last election.

Contact the company where you registered the domain and ask for it to be deleted from your account and your money returned.

how do i do that?
thanks for the help!!
Depends on the registrar, usually it's within 3-5 days. I would call direct as I've done with godaddy, and they will refund the money, in some cases there will be a small fee, $1-$3. Not sure about this gtld though.

thanks! :)

Koch is referring to the Koch brothers, David and Charles. They are 2 of the top 5 richest people in the world. They donate millions to promote republican candidates from national to the small town local level. So just google what organizations they are donating their money to.

They're #18 on the Forbes billionaires list in the world...deep, deep pockets, they bankroll republicans, candidates, their issues, causes, spending thousands, millions like it was pennies to the dollar. They are Goliath's.

That's the excuse liberals use to explain why they lose elections. The Koch brothers are well off, and liberals use their name to suggest that Republicans have all the big donors, which is of course a lie. They don't bother to mention that companies that Koch brothers own also contribute significantly to democrat campaigns such as Harry Reid's, because that does not support their lie. If you research it, you find that the largest contributors to campaigns are liberals/progressive groups. -shrugs- You asked.
