$535

Was in on the action and had to bow out towards the end. Should I have pressed it, or is it overpriced now at $535?

overpriced for reselling.

You chance of selling for low $xxxx is still around 1% a year. If you buy 100 names of similar quality at $500, then you invest $50K, spend annually on renewals around $1K and make 1 sale at, let's say, $3K. $3K-1K minus other expenses for $50K return is less than 2% return on investment.

Do you think end users are on GoDaddy close outs looking for domains?

Could be a reseller that overpaid, could be a reseller that does also a development and has an idea behind, could be that someone typed in "iactivity.com" and saw the page "you are lucky, iactivity.com is available at the auction"...

Unless you had intentions of developing the name, You made the right choice to bail out.
