There are many types of backlinks that are out there including .edu backlinks. These are some of the better backlinks you can get, but do they really help you in the search engines as much as some may have you think? Are these types of backlinks as high quality as you need?
The best part is that the .edu backlinks are considered to be very high quality and very trustworthy. This means that Google loves these types of backlinks and for good reason. These links come from colleges and universities so they are very well trusted by Google and by other search engines.
Typically, these backlinks come from the .edu blogs or forums. Popular misconception is: backlinks from blogs are better than forum backlinks. Unfortunately, this is a misconception.
The Math Magicians at Google, for example, never incorporated a differentiation factor in the algorithm that becomes Google’s engine. Links/websites are links/website from this non-human and algebraic viewpoint. So, you can be assured, this conversation/process never happens: “Hey, these backlinks are from a blog, I love it, I will pick it. Those forum backlinks suck, I don’t want to pick them, they are spam” LoL…

As mentioned earlier on .EDU domains are reserved for educational institution websites. It’s near impossible to put your backlink on the front page of an .edu site; unless, by some weird chance, http://www.harvard.edu is owned and administered by someone close to you.
Despite all this, we will find loophole where we can put our backlinks; normally by registering at their forum and blogs. But for this to work, we make SURE BACKLINKS IS A “DOFOLLOW”.:lala:
