Hello NamePros,

I own the domain acommodate . com and am thinking of developing it.
what is your opinion on developing it, putting adsense on it. and trying to rank it as no 1 on google ? is it possible? how hard would it be ?
it has an estibot value of 2000$ and it does get searches.

Ranking it as number 1 is definitely going to be a Herculean task but not because of the typo but because of the hyper-competitive space - accommodation rentals or real-estate presumably.

ranking in google depends on what you rank for...
the fact that its misspelled doesnt help
if your looking to rank for something super niche like "accomidation quotes" you may have a chance.
if your looking to rank for "accomidations in nyc" much less of a chance unless you plan on a strong link campagin and content strategy.

Cause it is impossible, simple.
We're no longer in the 90's domain name has ZERO value for Google (domainers, remember that: ZERO value for google).
Backlinks, domain auth, web presence (a lot of social networks profiles), one way backlinks and so so on are important.
Additionaly it is a typo domain.
Additionaly in 1st positions in google for keyword accomodation there is booking.
20 years of experience in web development here.
I know what I'm talking about.

I don't pay a penny to google (but I pay XXXX every month to my SEO department to stay there).
And i forgot.... It is a .club domain.
3rd in a ultra competitive niche.
A lot of .com behind me.
As I said, domain name has ZERO value for big G.

Valuable typo names are short and sweet and/or convertable type-in traffic magnets.

Is acommodate short and sweet? Four syllables, 10 letters, hard to remember, I don’t think so.

Is acommodate.com a convertable type-in traffic magnet? Who in their right mind types in accommodate.com in the first place, never mind spells it wrong? When I google accommodate or acommodate I get dictionary results and no ads. Expect a trickle of non-commercial traffic.

Accommodations is the money word so available derivatives like ccommodations.com would be an upgrade but the first law of holes takes precedence: if you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.
