It's at Terabyte and it's running Apache software. I just found some info that suggests I need to make a htaccess file with this in it:

ErrorDocument 400 /errors/badrequest.html
ErrorDocument 401 /errors/authreqd.html
ErrorDocument 403 /errors/forbid.html
ErrorDocument 404 /errors/notfound.html
ErrorDocument 500 /errors/serverr.html

I don't really understand the above.

Can't I just edit these error pages with redirect html code? Do you know where they are on a Cobalt server? There's like a million directories.

Thanks

Hey,

Its actually really easy to do. Just do the following:

create a .htaccess file and add this

ErrorDocument 404 /index.html

or you can replace .html with .php or whatever your sites done in.

Thanks,

you could also make your own 404 error page and put a redirection script in it.

I tried the above but I get another error message. I'm also trying the code from the official Terabyte help page here:
http://www.tera-byte.com/htaccess.html#error_pages

But still no luck. Does anyone know where these error pages are located? I just want to edit the 404 page.

Thanks

Thanks all.... I got it working with a .htaccess file but had to edit my access.conf file on the server with this entry:

<Directory /home/sites/site##>
Options All
AllowOverride All
</Directory>

That's not the only way to do it, but it definitely is a way. :]
