A few weeks back I posted this thread

http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/369854-im-hitting-decision-time.html

asking about which name to use for my site.

I'm now in a position to provide the details.

I have a sports simulation site that displays output from a simulation engine that I have built. Right now I am generating NFL simulations and that is the only data that is being presented on the site. However, I will probably be doing other sports fairly soon.

The design is pretty basic at this point but I am getting some regular traffic. However I am really not liking the name that I have and the site is probably about to hit its stride as I have some new features that I am getting ready to roll out. So I feel like I need to reconsider my decision on name because I am sort of hitting a point of no return (at least until the site makes me stinking rich and I have my pick of names - ha, ha). I also need to get google ads up soon so I can start monetizing the traffic that I get.

So here are the names I was originally looking at:

conog.com and sportputer.com

I chose to go with http://conog.com/ because it was shorter and sportputer.com doesn't look so bad when typed out, but when you actually say it...well it's not that great.

But I haven't really been happy with conog.com either. I don't know why, but I just don't like it.

So today I picked up chancebot.com which I personally really like since the main purpose of the site is to calculate the chance that each team has of making the playoffs or winning their division or whatever.

So I would like your opinions on this. My gut is telling me to go with chancebot.com but that might be just because it's new and shiny.

Of all three domain names, chancebot.com sounds the best, it is pretty ok length and sounds good when speaking and finally, it describes your site well, i would say go with it

chancebot is better than the other two. How about sportibot.com, that's available?

Thanks to everyone for the opinions. The only problem I have with something like sportibot.com is that one of my marketing channels is going to be (hopefully) talk radio. So I need something that a person driving in their car could hear once and eventually find on the web. So sportibot would result in people going to sportybot oreven sportebot.

Please keep the opinions coming.

In that case, you definitely want to stick with chancebot.

I'd like to do a blog article on your site for my sports betting blog http://ibet.pro - if you're interested can you PM a description of the site (background, technologies used, simulation factors)?

I was actually thinking you could pronounce it "Sport-I-Bot" (as in the film I-Robot). I reckon that would carry ok over the phone/radio, and sounds pretty cool to me. The "I" could stand for internet/interactive/information maybe? Pronounced like that I dont think you would get type in errors.

SportBot.com is also undeveloped. Might be worth contacting the owner to see if he would sell for a reasonable price? This would be your perfect domain for the job IMO, so worth the investigation.

Good choice with Chancebot IMO. Sportputer looks like a typo for Sportputter (golf).
