I'm thinking about building a product that does nothing and costs nothing. Thats why I grabbed the f zune domain. If Microsoft goes with some other name for their Ipod Killer then I'm ready to launch an affiliate program for all the Zune domain holders.

I never heard of Microsoft's new player until this thread. Since then, I have done some research. On July 11, word got out that it will be called "Zune".

Apparently, it is going to be branded with the Xbox name and be able to communicate with it and all that stuff. I do not not know all the technical things of how it relates with the Xbox, but many sources are saying this and several different future devices will be branded with the Xbox.

So after looking at the name Zune and the name Xbox a few times, I thought to myself wouldn't it make more sense to call it "Xune"?

Microsoft never officially announced the name of the product, so maybe sources only heard the name and assumed it was Zune, is a possibility I came up with.

My theory is probably wrong, but I did register a couple names just in case.

After doing a search for Xune on google I did find this interesting blog started on July 11. The day the name was leaked. It is probably a joke, but you never know.

zbox is name of 1996 while xune is name of 2000, zune name inbetween, 1998....nothing here, just the fact fyi..

yea i had to just incase. didnt want to be left out and the investment was already to high to lose over a domain.
