I have some questions about auction script

Hi I have a client who wants me to download an auction script for him so he can have his very own auction site. He need 2 things. He wants to be able to set the auction for any amount of time. ie - 1 minute - 1month, auctions

2 . he wants to be able to adjust a Access,excel spreadsheet, easily add products, decriptions and prices in the spreadsheet and then easily download spreadsheet to application. Is this possible or will he need a lesson in FTP?

as you can tell im just starting out w/ this type of stuff so any answers would be appreciated.

There are many auction scripts out there. The excel thing can be done easily by export import on MySQL but the Excel sheet needs to be in proper format everytime.
