how do people copy protect their pages? I know full protection is never possible, but can I upload an image to my server and put html on the page in some way to prevent it from being downloaded?

I'd like to :
1)Stop IE from putting that thing in the top left corner that les you save the file with two clicks,
2)Prevent right clicking and then going to save image as
3.) Prevent view source.

Again if soneone really wanted it they could take a screen shot but I'm just wondering how people do the above three. I believe it is only wiht html and maybe js but not advanced PHP or anything.

Yes u can with javascript I used to have a script that did it but I don't know where it is on my computer or I would gibve it to you.

The IE Image Toolbar is a setting of the client, you can't modify it from JavaScript or anything else. It's a decision of the user.

My personal opinion on this kind of "protection" is that it's totally useless because there are millions of other ways to view the source and save the images. Moreover it's very annoying for the users. It pisses me off when I can't right click on a page for translation, search, properties, etc, but not for "stealing" the code.

U can disable right click, there are a lot of scripts available on the net
I dont think u can prevent the user from view-source, maybe u shud try and open ur page in a popup so tht the toolbar is not visible, and so the user cannot click on view-source, but wth, thts a bad practise...y u wanna hide ur code? google, hotmail, yahoo, nobody does tht

It is still in the cache. Really there is no way to both use and image and protect it at the same time.
