How To Find End Users

This is a question that I'm sure many people have and I dont know if there is a concrete way to answer it.

I am also not looking for people to give away their contacts or specific methods - but if someone has something great to add im sure that everyone will want to read it...

what methods do you use to market your domains to end end users?

do you develop the domain first and then contact people? or do you have it parked?

also - do you try to find people locally? or use a search engine??

For example, I have some .tv domains that I am trying to find end users for, so I simply tried to contact different TV companies - which might or might not work. I was able to get actual names of people verse the good old "contact@whatever"...

Any inputs/suggestions?

When posting questions, don't ask too many at one time. No one gets paid for helping answer questions and if you ask too many, some people may not want to spend that much time. :) It's not your fault, many people do this because they have so many questions. I just noticed that no one answered since yesterday, including me. :)

I would start with this thread http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/68798-how-to-find-potential-end-users.html that should answer some of your questions.

I will add my suggestion that I don't think you will hear from other people: Don't spam. Don't send the same email to a list of people you collect. Being reported for spam is no fun, and getting spam is also no fun. No one needs your domain, you need to sell it.

Make a list of potential buyers, but write each of them a personal note like they are the only buyer you know of. Be friendly mention something about their site that is HONEST and TRUE. Then mention that you have a domain you want to sell.

The other thing is to set a price that will make you happy, not one that will make you jump up and down with joy. Do you undertand the difference? That way you won't scare off people with a price that is too high, and if they counter with a lower price, it may be one you are ok with, even if it doesn't make you "Happy". If you don't have much luck, don't worry, most people don't. Keep trying and if it still doesn't work, ASK people why they are not buying. They are your best source of information. Then you can also try different messages and prices to see if you can find something that works.

When you do, let me know because I have a lot of domains you can sell for me. :)
