How not to bid on DropCatch (lumeo.com)

Spaceship Spaceship

Tough lesson for this business. Registering on DropCatch with your business name as your username will probably/definitely force the bidding higher.

As a domainer you can see clearly what the business is willing to pay and chase the bid up, knowing that you're unlikely to lose much if you do end up with the top bid.

Obviously a risky play as a domainer to chase it too far. Imagine if this username was just a troll trying to tease a domainer into wasting money...

We take the verification of our user's accounts very seriously, as the integrity of our auction platform is of utmost importance to us. We require all users to upload a valid government issued photo ID for review however this is not the only tool we utilize when reviewing accounts to determine if we should allow them to participate in auctions. In addition to closely reviewing a user prior to granting verification, we monitor all accounts to ensure user's are not able to create multiple accounts. We are continuously updating and making changes to the verification process to develop stricter regulations. The verification process of users is something we pay close attention to so that we may identify and eliminate behaviors that may compromise the trust in our platform.

With that being said, we always encourage customer feedback as this is how we create a platform that best facilitates your needs, so in response to this concern we are evaluating additional methods of verification that may be available to us for the future of DropCatch.

Any user who places a fraudulent bid on an auction, determined by a failure to pay is immediately and indefinably suspended from our platform and we take significant measures to ensure they are unable to create a new account. DropCatch Terms and Conditions outline users are only able to maintain ONE account and we monitor all verification request to ensure this is the case. If we suspect fraudulent activity, including non payment of a domain name, we re-auction the domain name to ensure a fair auction. While we are not able to determine 100% of fraudulent behavior ahead of time, we are working to decrease the rate at which domains are re-auctioned by establishing stricter verification processes.

DropCatch values customer feedback, as this is how we customize our platform to ensure the best experience for our users, so if anyone has any questions or concerns about a user or auction please contact us. If you see an auction that you have questions about, feel free to contact us directly to let us know so we may preform an internal investigation on the auction. You may always reach us through DM on NamePros or by email at [email protected]!

Can’t believe it. All the complaints and accusations above and not one “like” to the comments from @DropCatch Support? Immediately addressing the issue here on our forum and not ignoring it unlike some other companies.

If you look at one of the TM's, they are one of the most active UDRP filers, Novartis, they are relentless.

With a fresh reg date reset on the domain, they buyer is at a huge disadvantage, if they have to defend the mark.

The person in question loves brandable names and is probably the largest buyer of such names on NameJet.

Everyone would like to know, who is he?
