How much webspace needed?

Hi guys,

If I was thinking of starting a Forum, how much webspace would I need?

Domain.com is selling 10GB web disk space, 300GB bandwidth, 1 domain, 100 email accounts and 250MB mailbox space for $5.75. Is this expensive?

you probably won't need anywhere near that amount if you're just starting a forum, and since they probably won't let you use that amount anyway because it looks like they're overselling.

try Hostgator if you want multiple domains hosted. also, it depends on how you're going to run your forum, if you're going to host pictures, then you might need extra space, if you're forum is going to allow image hosting links, than you should be ok.

In my opinion, if you are planning to start a proxy service then Domain.com can be a candidate (if they sell what they say) however if you are only want to have a forum, it will be a little bit too much unless as mosilager said, if your forum is going to host a lot of pictures then you might need extra space.

The number of pages is irrelavent. Even the text on the pages is negligible.

It is the size of the pictures and other media you want on the page that will be the determining factor.
