Snap names sold HotelDeals.com for $171,250 in December of 2006, so how much would an extra word in the beginning of the name take off its value? Obviously the world would need to be part of a reasonable search phrase - say "cheap hotel deals" or "late hotel deals" or even "luxury hotel deals". Some of the valuation bots put them at around $10,000.

I guess it depends on the keyword. In your example, cheap is a good one and the whole combo still looks ok but is nonetheless longer than ideal.
The keywords would have to be super hot and maybe have high search volume too.
But if you look at reported sales, most domains are composed of maximum two keywords. So I would say that each additional keyword ruins the odds of a sale dramatically.
The gap in value could therefore go from $171,250 to $0 (no buyer).
