Hi guys. I want to ask a question. There are some subdomain services like eu.com it.com uk.com etc. Some people says that this subdomains are not worth anything some people says that it is not important. I Wonder how will affect if i buy a subdomain. During domain appraisals they say that it is a subdomain it makes domains value low. Are you agree with that. Plase share your thoughts. I want to learn

What if a domain name is valuable and Hard to find like market, how about market.it.com? İs it valuable or not

Hi

with majority of one word names being sold as "premium registrations" only the registry makes money on such names.
and -
with the high renewal fees, who's going to take on that cost, plus the upsell price?

imo....

Lets think a different perspective. Lets say i am living in uk and i want to register a one word domain. But the co.uk and .uk is not empty for register. Do you think buying a uk.com like market.uk.com is profitable instead of buying market12.co.uk ?

Hi

seems like no matter what i say, you're going to make up a plausible reason or find somebody else who will support what you want to do.

so, i'm out.

imo....

The reason you occasionally see sub domains in use is purely because the owners of those businesses are NOT prepared to pay the premium to acquire the .co.uk (or indeed the .uk) Yes, they are occasionally willing to pay the extra yearly renewal cost but to these users they don't feel they are being charged a premium, for a domainers pocket.

Now that's where the problem lays if you try to sell domains such as uk.com.. Your potential buyers have already voted, 'WE ARE NOT PREPARED TO PAY SECONDARY MARKET PRICES'. You may get lucky with a particular word or term but double check the .co.uk and the .uk are fully developed and in profitable use otherwise your just joining a queue of domains for sale.

There has been a few secondary-market .com.uk sales in the past but these were before all the new top level domains

namebio shows 13 sales for eu.com over 17 years with an average selling price of $870.

If investing in that sounds like a good idea to you then go for it.

Subdomains are dead money as investments.

There is no demand. The (lack of) reported sales show that.

Post the screenshot here in the forum like I did, I’m not clicking random links to dodgy looking sites.
