how exactly is the "no domain transfer within 60 days" defined?

If I do a whois check and the "Last Updated" date is within 60 days, can
I still transfer the domain even though I only corrected a incorrect information
at the whois, and did not change owership within 60 days?

ICANN rule says you cannot tranfer domain twice within 60 days. Transfer means change of registrar.

Only stupid godaddy has extra rule saying you cannot transfer domain in 60 days , once you touch yuor domain, i.e. change name server, contact, redirect...

thanks for your answer.
What about registerfly? Can you transfer out if you touched your name?

You mean when does that kick in?

If the domain name is registered with or transferred to the registrar on March
2, 2007, then you can transfer it out of the registrar 60 days after March 2.
That's roughly May 2 at least.

As 3par stated, Go Daddy has their own internal 60-day rule. If you changed,
say, any of the registrant fields (name, address, email) on March 2, then they
will let you transfer it out on May 2 at least.

I don't recall any similar restrictions with Registerfly other than the register or
transfer to them. That's something you'll have to ask them.

I believe this is only if you have a contact update. Changing your nameservers, etc. won't reset GoDaddy's 60 day transfer lock.

It's only if you update the Registrant Info that GoDaddy locks the domain for 60 days. You can change anything else at will with no effect your ability to transfer a domain.

Even changing the Registrant Info doesn't effect your ability to push the domain to another GoDaddy account.

Provided it's older than 60 days, yes. Assuming you have the Auth Code and can unlock the domain.
