My regular web browser is Opera. The only browser installed on my media centre (:hearts: MythTV) is Firefox, it came preinstalled and I am going to keep it that way - as wasting space on a media centre isn't the best plan for success.
Anyway, whenever I have to browse the web through my media centre PC it feels like I am wearing lead boots! Everything is just so much slower, and the whole computer slows down to a fraction of it's usual speed. It can't be the hardware, as I am using the computer as a media centre - which required decent hardware. If I look at the processes list, FF is eating huge amounts of CPU and RAM. How do you cope with this? I assume it is the same on Windows. Opera uses a tiny fraction of what FF does, and is much much faster as a result.
