Hey, ive started working on a project that was started buy someone else and ive come accross this question. How do you orginise your website and why?

Example:

/images - This is where all the images on the site are stored
/forum - This is where the forum script and all the componets are stored
/includes - This was allready there, as far as i can tell it just stores the normal site apart from the index?

What other files would be usefull / or at common?

Thanks

QBert

(sorry if this dosent go in the website design area, i just assumed it was a design realyed, but not graphics.)

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

well that's the way I organise them too

images in their folder
css files in css folder

well you could do it like:
contact/
about/
support/

or you could do it,
html/
css/
jpg/

or you could just dump it all in the one dir. or you could do it some ways i dont know yet :)

It depends on how large/small the site is. If it's relatively small, I just put everything in one directory. If the list of files gets too long, then I sort them out in folders.
