As domain investors, we undoubtedly build up an impressive collection of domain names that form part of our domain portfolio. Building an impressive portfolio is great and makes us feel good, but how do you manage your domains effectively?

Are you meticulous about keeping an accurate purchase and sales record, or do you only want to capture specific info that's important to you? What works best for you? Do you use specific software, if so, share it here!

I use an Excel spreadsheet - listing dates a domain was registered, re-registration dates, and sale or drop dates, along with registration fee, re-reg fees, any marketplace listing fees and sales amounts. Makes it easy to sort and at the end of each calendar year separate out that year's sales/drops for my accountant.

Excel for all names and the notes section on the Epik domain manager for those registered there.

Name, Reg Date, Expiry Date, Broad Searches, Exact Searches, CPC (at exact level), Value of Name, Min Offer Accepted, Misc Notes

Excel is the classic tool. There was a time when sharing Excel files were more common in the domain industry.

I see a variety of more modern methods and private websites being used now though.
