AE.cc $3,000 Pvt Sale
BR.cc $3,000 Pvt Sale
CV.cc $3,000 Pvt Sale
ES.cc $3,000 Pvt Sale
IN.cc $3,000 Pvt Sale
JP.cc $3,000 Pvt Sale
PK.cc $3,000 Pvt Sale
RU.cc $3,000 Sedo
UA.cc $3,000 Pvt Sale
ZA.cc $3,000 Pvt Sale

All are country codes which again show the power of geo domains.
Excellent price for this extension.
Good news for the other LL.cc holders!
If this is bulk pricing, the other 'word' LL.cc should prove a solid investment.

Impressive... most of those sold seem to be country codes, so I'm not sure if this could be considered a "broad move" for the extension, but still lends it more credibility!

(Still "holding" on .cc , and http://www.developed.cc/ )

It is interesting. But I think this may also suggest that domain investing is looking for new markets, especially with the success .mobi is now seeing. My worry is that too many people are going to sink money into domains that barely have a chance to ever see an end-user.

well obviously 1 buyer 1 seller, but the seller made off like a bandit

Maybe 2 sellers, as one of the sales was through Sedo ... unless the Sedo transaction led to the others after the conclusion of the ru.cc one.

I wished I had the $65k Mr Verisign was looking for :( .

Hello Sam,

Thank you for your email. There are 650 two-character .cc domains for sale for a total of $65,000. This is a one-time purchase price and the annual renewal fees will depend on the registrar you transfer the domains to after purchase. We are only selling the entire set; we are not selling any of the domains individually.

Agreed... My only other thought was that the buyer got in a habit of $3k and the sedo seller didn't want to miss a sure sale ;) Since, as Sam posted, they were sold as a bulk unit, it's almost certainly one seller... just speculating as to why there was one at Sedo, that's all :tu:

All 11 were sold by the same seller to the same buyer (Sedo not involved in any of them). Read it again:

There were six more four-figure ccTLD sales just off the chart, with Sedo claiming all but one of those, IL.cc, a name that Original Web Ventures added to the .cc portfolio you saw on the chart as a discounted bonus at $1,000.

That makes more sense - thanks for the clarification, Duke.
A niche sale for sure & it will be interesting to see what becomes of them.

RU.cc is listed as SEDO on the chart, and the RU.cc should round it out to 10 + 1 that isn't listed at $3k because of the discounted...

My mistake if I'm misreading something obvious...

My guess is they could be used to sell sub domains from.

This company specialise in it:
http://www.centralnic.com/names/domains

With some marketing one could fairly quickly pay back the cost of each domain and
the fact that .cc could be marketed as country code.

e.g.
ibiza.es.cc
