Try to stick with .com from now on. Maybe .net at times.

Thanks DubDubDubDot, but could you elaborate? I understand the prominence of .com and .nets, but then are the other extensions worthless? Or can they fetch at least something above reg fee?

I dont find this keyword(s) work well enough for a .me, like it doesnt make much sense.

To me seeing as the ext. is the word me, you gotta more or less make it part of your keyword, which is more or less what this ext. is all about right now, domain hack?...or at least thats how I see it.

HotGuy.me, most girls may find this egotistical. I think it's funny though. Im not sure how you would develop it. Plus chicks are looking for humor more *cough* yeah right.

Anyway, if you dev it with a grain of salt, you might have geeky chicks ALL OVER YOU!

The Bob Parson's .ME thrill ride will not last forever.

The next time he changes extensions the bottom will fall out of this ccTLD faster than a hot dog weeny in the cheap seats. In my view, these two domains are ideal grace delete candidates. Reboot and refund. IMO.

I agree, I can't think of any ".me" sites that I have visited. I am a huge fantasy sports fan, and there are a ton of Fantasy Sports websites out there many of which don't have good keyword domains at all, yet FantasyFootball.me is nothing more than a parked page, I'd think if there was any value someone big would own FantasyFootball.me.. Heck even Buy.me looks like an undeveloped parked domain.

I'd much rather have HotGuyMe.com, or HotGuysMe.com which are BOTH available than the ".me" but theat's just "me"

When I say "d much rather, I still don't have any use for the .com versions of these either, but if I had to pick, I'd go register the .com's

Thanks all you guys for your responses. Reps for all...

Tippy: I understand the .me hack perspective. But maybe they could also stand for something like this: HotGuy.me => "I'm a hot guy" (something like hot or not) OR 'hotguy for me' (dating) and HotGuys.me => 'hotguys for me' (gay porn/female erotica) or something like that. Or HotGuy.me could be a "how to" site giving tips for looking hot (for guys)... just some ideas picked up from the first page of google search for "hot guy" http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=hot+guy&btnG=Search

Ben42: Hey, if chicks don't dig humor they certainly dig hot guys!! Or the other way round... Either way, I win ;) More research needed on that "what chicks dig" issue :)

MicroGuy: I understand the hype aspect of new extensions. Yes, you are right about the Bob Parson's comment. The same thing happened to .tv I think, right? But I'm keeping my fingers crossed for .me (I think .tv was a niche, so was .mobi... .me is more general I feel)

johname: HotDude.me is still available. I might go for it too... or maybe not...

jcwebnet: Maybe we can give the benefit of doubt for lack of .me sites as it's new... But check out the google search for developed .me sites: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENUS296&q=site:.me&btnG=Search It shows 5,310,000 results (of course it doesn't mean there are that many sites already, or does it?) Also, "Hot Guy" and "Hot Guys" are keywords with 60,000 and 165,000 "exact" google searches/month while "Hot Guy Me" (for the .com you suggested) has zero.

Thanks for putting a figure on it... but can you elaborate? Is it because it is a .me, or the keywords don't fit the extension? Or something else?

hotguy.me is pretty catchy. It could also be used somewhere along the lines of "I am rich and you are not"

I think you should develop it as a fitness blog/forum
gl!

I understand how .me works with your domain (I have a few similar approach domains as well, i.e professions) but currently only strong keywords and clever hacks have a value right now in the undeveloped state.

in .ME this is worthless. $0. There are good .ME's but this is not one of them.

Thanks again all you guys for the latest appraisals... Reps+ to all...

darknight867: Thanks... I'm really glad to have someone on my side :)

lincolndsp: Point taken... I understand...

Smartphone: Thanks for your opinion... I'm keeping my fingers crossed though...

I just find one thing curious though: Everyone is dis-advocating .me's and advocating .com, .nets, etc. I have PrinterStand.net (keyword with 10K+ google searches/month) for appraisal on this same forum, a few posts down, and I have already bumped it up twice, but not one single appraisal (good or bad)

And a supposedly non-starter .me (this one) and it's got 14 responses... I'm just wondering why...

I thought I had hit rep+ for all... I always give reps+ or no reps at all..

I'm sorry if I gave you rep- by mistake... is there any way I can change it back? Again... I'm really sorry...

I see nothing special in these names.

Sorry

I appreciate your opinion... but I'm curious... any reason for it not appealing to you? Anything at all... eg. it sounds flimsy, mismatch in keywords-extension, etc.?
