Good decision. I have had s aimilar case. The German broadcasting company ARD came after my name ARD.mobi The problem in my case was that the domain was also parked at Sedo, and if their lawyer accessed the domain in Germany it would display ads related to their client. This would give them a much better case if they would take me to court.
They claimed the domain, and a few thousand euros in damages. In Germany, these damages are more or less automatically assigned by the court. In the end, they paid me 500 euro for the name.
Not a good deal for me, but as said the case was very difficult because I was actually displaying ads for their client. Unknowingly because I do not live in Germany and do not know what geo-targeting will do for the ads Sedo displays there, but the German courts are very strong against domainers so they probably would not (want to) understand this.
The lesson to be learnt here: I have now switched off displaying ads for all my mobi domains. There is very little traffic on .mobi's anyway, so the loss is small. But it prevents lawyers getting a claim on you this way.
