Hosting Companies - Do you also offer SEO?

I think it would be a good idea to offer SEO to your clients. Websites usually need exposure and people tend to think just because they are hosting their website online, people will know it's there.

Do you offer SEO? How do you deal with clients who want exposure for their website?

No sorry, keeping servers up and running is enough trouble without getting into SEO.

If you require SEO you are better off getting a company that specialises in it.

SEO and design require custom work for each site so should be contracted from specialized staff depending on niche and marketing plans.

What do you mean by SEO? It is a very broad term. Some SEO companies charge thosands of dollars per month for their "seo" services - this is obviously not something that you would get for free with your hosting provider

Yeah that's something to keep seperate. If you're doing SEO right it's way to much extra work. Especially if you have a lot of clients.

As for webintellects, we do not have SEO a separate services. However I know some hosts provide it.

Many hosting offers but i never try..fatcow gives....but i doubt so i prefer to have dedicated person....

May be few web hosts offer SEO services with web hosting, but those hosting organizations who have a huge customers base usually don't have time to work on SEO for their customers website.

And it is understandable, because SEO is not a small task. If any web host offers it then it's good, but in my opinion you should build in house team for SEO and online marketing work. That be helpful for you. After all SEO is not a rocket science...

We don't offer help with onpage/offpage seo. But, we do offer geographically dispersed hosting accounts with A class ip's for seo purpose.

In terms of being a web host, we always supply our customers with the necessary tools & guides to help understand SEO by going over the basics. We have an array of normal SEO tools that help too.

But yes, upon request, we actually do help our customers with basic SEO. Normally this is a paid service, but if any of our customers ask, we always help them to a decent degree.

when giving someone SEO project of your website you should always consider niche and expertise of the company. You should not ask SEO from the hosting company itself. may be some hosting companies can be able to provide that. As per knowledge Godaddy has a search engine visibility package. But o don't know how much effective that would be.
