Host/Package Suggestions

Hi everyone.

I'm looking for a new web host and thought I'd pick your brains for recommendations based upon my requirements below:

I have several busy sites, a couple with over 20,000 unique visitors/month currently. Could be 4-6 sites like that by the end of this year.

- Min. 10 GB server space
- Min. of 3000 GB transfer/month
- Windows Server
- Remote Desktop Admin Access
- .net 3.5 framework

I don't know if I need to go with a dedicated server or if shared would be ok.

Your suggestions are much appreciated.

Well don't really have an experience, but GoDaddy is known for its service. So I suggest you try them out.

I would suggest you to make a good search before you make a decision. I have not used their service, but I have not heard much good words about them. Mostly I see are negative ones.
A quick search in the forums will give you some reviews about them.

They seem to have some great packages... only question would be support...

I've emailed them some questions and will see how the response time is etc.

I think a better thing to look at would be the number of Hits you get per month invariable about it being unique or not. There are a few good servers that give you all that like BlueHost for example but they restrict your server load.

Well if you decide to go for a VPS with them, I think for a few more dollars you can as well find a Dedicated Server which will be much more reliable and faster

IGChosting.com was the choice for me. I spent a lot of time looking around for the services and support I needed and they fit the bill perfect!

I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Out of curiosity was the bandwidth a tpyo or did you actually require 3,000 GB bandwidth a month?

Yeah, that was a mistake, my busiest site burns about 10 GB/month and a few others I have are around 2-5 GB/month. I should have said 100+ GB/mo was what I wanted - and now have

Yes do that. However (Sorry if this may be bias) That webhost has been harrasing other webhosts on forums lately. I'm not sure exactly but this seems childish to me.

I don't know anything about that, but again, am happy with them so far. Will post updates once my bigger sites are fully setup and have been running for a while. Again, would highly recomment them.

Yea with that much bandwidth a VPS is best for you, or a dedicated server. Good luck in finding a new host though.
