I like it.

Some things:
I would make the red part wider, as it is only 30% of the whole page.
Also loading (before flash) lasts about 4 sec., but this may be dued to the forwarding you set up.

PS:
Review my site (BETA)

Though this is a nice design there is a lot of blank space on your website. I would try to use up more space because overall your site seems small at my screen resolution of 1400 X 1050

yeah I like it....

The only thing I would say is that I'd still like to see some 'HTML', text links, copy etc? Use the space you have - that nice flash movie will look even better embedded into a bigger layout with altenative content.

The reason I say this is because you are a designer advertising your design skills. 'Part flash' sites are better for marketing/optimization and it also shows your clients more about what you can offer and your skills etc...

For example, Magnex (my current project) had a flash site originally but now I am redesigning it part flash, part html (click link below in my signature to view)

Design wise, really like it....good work, keep it up :gl:

thanks man, really useful reply!

the problem for me with that is.. content :) my portfolio is growing (though nothing on the site as yet), but there still isnt enough to fill an entire html page. unless i fill it with tutorials or forums or something. any advice on this?

nice work on the magnex and amp-media site by the way.

cheers.

Okay,

*Idea* :|

why not double the size of your table (lets say 600 wide) shift your flash movie over to the left and in the right hand section, pretty it up in co-ordination with the flash design and create say 3 modules (ie, rounded rectangle boxes) and use each of them to elaborate on the type of service you can offer, what skills you have...

Try and entice them in, 'request a quote' etc etc.....Don't try and sell yourself too much of course, but I want to read about what you can do before I decide to spend my money with you!!!!! Especially as you are starting out...

Remember these are only my ideas and are probably up for some scrutiny....but to be honest, these methods work for me!!!

We can all build a pretty website...but making them work is another kettle of fish matey :hehe:

Good luck, keep in touch and thanks for the comments on Magnex...My biggest project yet, and a long tiring one at that but am really please with the result....*Big Sighs*
