Would be even nicer if we could also 'add' such a color after the fact, i.e. when editing an original (top) post that wasn't posted 'with a color'. I'd like my current thread to be 'red', like the angry smiley that's representing it...

Quite cheap, I hope it isn't too cheap. Several highlighted threads on one page can be a bit annoying.

It's purposely priced on the low side right now to give people a chance to try it out and to increase awareness of this new feature. We'll find the ideal price point for it at a near future date in order to maintain its distinction. For now though, enjoy it for the 50 NP$.

Very cool feature - definitely makes threads stand out. I actually think $50 NP is the right price point though. With a bank rate of 3 cents per NP$ that is currently a cash price of $1.50 for highlighting a post. If you go to the cash equivalent of $3 ($100NP) I don't think the feature would be utilized much. Of course, too many highlighted threads would diminish the effectiveness of all highlighted threads, but at the moment there is plenty of room for more highlighted posts without diluting their punch. As -RJ- noted, the forum will be able to get a handle on it in upcoming days as they monitor how often the feature is purchased so that the right balance can be achieved.

Thinking one more step down the line, I do see one potential benefit in a $100NP price point. With a cash equivalent of $3 (bank price) that could motivate people who want to use the feature to go into the open NP$ market and buy them from members where they can often be acquired for around half the bank price. That could give the NP$ market a major boost.

I take it the highlight lasts as long as the post does?
