I'm just curious if anyone know from experience what the highest paying keywords are at NameDrive. I have fiddled around a little bit and have found "poker" to pay out the most ~$1.50 per click; however, I'm still looking for other good paying keywords.

If you could post your good keywords here that would be appreciated. Additionally, please post what you highest click and/or its average amount was with that keyword.

Well I don't know about the keywords but, I do know they like UK traffic

$1.50 is about 10x more than I've earned for any clicks at NameDrive so far, for a variety of topics.

Was that before or after(Quote from NameDrive)
Please note: The earnings on each click made on your domains are shown as a generic per-region value for the first 48 hours. Once we receive the exact earnings data from our advertising partner, the generic stats are updated to show the real click value. The last update date is shown in gray in your control panel. This process ensures that we can display the exact earnings made on your domains.
Because, this system of theirs reduces PPC as much as 50% up to 48 hours later. D-:

I had a click for $1.76 from a poker domain. It first showed up as 11 cents and then resolved to $1.76. Also, just a few days ago, I had someone click on a link for $0.00! Not sure how that happens...

i too have had several clicks on the same parked domain: one might register at 15 cents and the next at a whopping 3 cents. This seems to happen frequently.

I have noticed that if anyone clicks from what I assume to be a proxy (the region is listed as "other), you only get 2 or 3 cents.

Just to clear this up about the stats update.
For the first 24-48 hours of a click being made, we show only generic stats for that click. These are firmly set as:

US 11 cents
Europe 10 cents
Latin America 6
Asia 3 cents
Other (Africa etc) 2 cents

We have chosen these figures to be somewhat below what we have found to be the average PPCs for these regions.
Once we receive the real earnings data, we update the system (every day around 12-1 pm EST) to show the real earnings data in the member area. While it is undesireable but inevitable that some clicks will drop after the update, exactly the same is true in the other direccton that a click that was at 11 cents before the update increases anything from 2 to several times its generic value (in Fonzie's case, 15 times its original value), something which is easier to miss than clicks going 'down'.

I just wanted to stress that the clicks are only updated once. From their generic value to their real value, no earnings are being 'lost'. After the daily updates, those stats are never updated again.

As far as our famous $0.00 clicks are concerned, we report data exactly as it is shown to us. As their minimum click price is now $0.01, should a click be made on a domain which Google earn $0.01 for, there is clearly not a great deal left for us to share around. If you look at the RPM for those domains, you'll see that you did earn something... Not particularly consoling perhaps, but just pointing out that the click is more like $0.004 than $0.0000.
That being said, tech are currently implemnting a sensational lowest click price of $0.01.

While we're on the topic of high-paying keywords, we are required by Google to ensure that keywords set on domains match the domains themselves and are not just set because they are 'high-paying', so it is also something to bear in mind.

Hope you all have a great afternoon / evening.

Ed, thanks for the helpful post. I understand that keywords must be lined up with the domain they are on; however, do you have any information that could help us increase our parking revenue? For instance, I have a few poker type domains. It would be helpful to know if "casino" "poker" or "holdem" has higher payouts. I have dinked around a little bit with search terms but have found it is difficult to know what pays the best. I am not suggesting that you place a non-related keyword with a domain, but I am wondering if there is a way to maximize PPC.

Hi Fonzie,

I understand your desire to find the most lucrative keyword for your poker domains. It's not easy as Google is not madly keeon on delivering gambling advertising - due to their US-ship. I've had a quick look on our system and our best-performing keyword in the gambling category is indeed 'poker' as you suggested. As a company, we are somewhat reticent about giving out our highest-paying keyword data just so as, while we know that most of the community, especially on here, are rule-abiding citizens, there are some people out there who'll simply optimize everything to 'loans' in the hope of big clicks.
If you send a mail to [email protected], though, we will try and get you the highest-paying data for any specific names you'd like to ask us as it is in both our and the customers' interests :)

While we're on the subject of ND things: two little things which got updated today. Not lovely stats analytics, but makes things a bit easier to see, especially at this time of the month.
One is the 'last 30 days' in the drop down so this time of month doesn't get too messy when you hit 'daily stats'.
The other is the 'page size' box which allows you to choose how many domains you view per page. The current maximum is 100, but that will rise to 250 in the next couple of hours. This is only for the stats page at the moment as the settings page is a beast and we don't want to crash your computers. It will hopefully rise soon.

I keep on hearing namedrive falsely inflates traffic somehow, and usually pays out the lowest clicks between any of the big parking advertisers, does anyone else get this?

I do not think that is an accurate or for that matter a fair one.

They do "adjust" revenue during the first 48hrs([email protected] covered this above) and that can make it rather difficult to compare stats between parking programs. For "hosting" traffic this will cut revenue it about 50%.

My experience at ND has not led me to support your statement. In fact, ND has paid me more than Sedo. As I noted earlier, I recently had a >$4 click at ND.

Hi l0zo,

I'm not sure where you heard about the inflated traffic. It is true that some people have reported higher traffic numbers than at some other parking companies. However, the click prices are only adjusted once - an update which we have now got down to 24 hours. This is simply because we show a generic click price until the real earnings data is relayed to us by Google. Once this update has been done - the day after your clicks were made - then your clicks are never adjusted again.

On another note, just a couple of updates. That are not major but not insignificant either :)

The login will soon have a "remember me" thing, which is effectively ready, but tech are having problems with... yup, AOL again! You gotta love AOL, operating in their own little Internet Universe. Anyway, I'm told that will be live later today.

Something I find more exciting is the user search function. I'm sure you're by now aware of the ability to see the user searches on your domains (Settings / Click on folder / Click on domain with traffic). We've now added the number of hits as well as a check box.
This is effectively a 'passive' tool rather than an 'active' one. By that, I mean you can now select which searches don't appear on the page if there is something you don't want something up there. Tech are implementing a little box at the bottom so you can also see the ones that do appear on the page, though the searches which appear highest on the list are most likely to be up there on the page.

We have only allowed this for accounts which have been pre-screened by us. I believe this has been done for most of your acconts, but if you cannot see the check boxes, send me an email or PM and we'll look into it.

Have fun. Any comments, requests etc. welcome as always.

Ed
