Just for your info, some technology news:

1. Korea just successfully launched a satellite service that broadcasts TV programs to cellphones. Called DMB, it will be used to televise live soccer matches in Germany next year during World Cup 2006.

Fact: most DMB domains (e.g. DMBphone.com, DMBnews.com & DMBtel.com) have been registered by the Koreans.


2. Sony will be launching an online music store for their PlayStation Portable (PSP), like Apple's iTunes.

Fact: PSPmusic.com has been registered by Sony PSP (Europe).


3. XM radio has tied-up with Samsung to launch XM-ready MP3 players. They will also be selling XM players for Harley bikes and satellite radio programs on CDs through Starbucks. There are rumours that XM will start selling their programs online like iTunes & rolling out services for cellphones.

Fact: Satellite radio will be the next big thing, as can be seen from the sudden surge of activities at XM Radio. Domains like XMphone.com are already registered.

Don't reg DMBfootball.com or DMBsoccer.com because it'd be a one-off event only. The Koreans are using the World Cup to promote their technology in Europe. I think there will be a trial in US towards the end of the year.
