Help would be nice

Hello everyone

I want to get into web design and hopefully do it as a job but I don’t really know where to start.
I have used dream weaver, flash and a little fireworks and can make basic stuff but nothing good.
So my question is, where do I start? Should I learn html , xhtml, css, dream weaver ,flash etc or what?
Are there any pacific books that I could get that would help?

i think first: forget about dreamweaver 2nd: learn some html 3rd: learn some photoshop
