What has happened is that someone has filed a UDRP complaint against your domain name, because they believe your domain name was registered for the purpose of taking advantage of their trademark.

When that happens, WIPO notifies the registrar to lock the name, and obtains the registrant data from the registrar. WIPO then provides that registrant data to the complainant - in the email which was copied to you - and the complainant is invited to amend the complaint to name the registrant, and to make whatever other changes may come from knowing who is the registrant. For example, sometimes the registrant will have been the subject of other UDRP proceedings, or the registrant data provides additional information which the complainant may use to show that the registrant should have known about the trademark.

The complainant has five days to update their complaint with your information. If they do not do so, WIPO will go ahead and commence the proceeding anyway. At that time, you will receive a copy of the complaint, which will explain the reasons why the complainant believes the domain name should be transferred to you. You will have 20 days to respond, which can be extended to 24 days.

There is not much for you to do at this point. In a few days, you'll have a much clearer idea what this is about. You *could* reach out to the other side to propose a Rule 17 transfer if it is an obvious case, but you are unlikely to help yourself by communicating with anyone at this point, given that you are unfamiliar with the procedure.

Given that most of the pending .online UDRP cases are obviously cybersquatted names, the only "interesting" one in which it appears possible for the registrant not to know what the complaint is about is this one:

If that's not it, then the other most recently filed .online disputes are :

D2025-0644aquataliaonline.comVida Shoes International, Inc-Compliance Review PendingPending
D2025-0758onlyfanstoken.onlineFenix International Limited-Compliance Review PendingPending

Although if it was one of those names, one would expect the registrant to know perfectly well why the name was subject to a complaint.

...although on second glance, none of the candidate names is registered at GoDaddy. So, perhaps it is one that hasn't shown up on the pending docket yet, although by this point in the process it should have.

qlick (online) is registered at godaddy, and fairly recently
[edit] and the registrant's name is suspiciously similar to OP's forum name ;)

Ah, I must have mis-spelled it when I checked. You are correct, that's it.

That also brings up a couple of other cases...

What is the shortest response to win this?

Registered b/c play on the word "click"
Multiple uses of qlick by companies not related to qlik

in the WIPO email you received,
there are links to a template to dispute the claim
and they also explain the timeline to introduce a dispute

i disputed a claim against a big international business and won my case,
still i had a legitimate reason to register the domain

if you are not sure how to respond, you can find cheap attorneys at Fiverr that can defend your case for less than 200$

good luck

Be sure to ask for links to all the cases they've won.

Hi, I'm not interested in the domain, I registered it by mistake so I don't have to dispute the claim

So that said what should I do?

Thanks

If you do nothing, eventually a decision will issue and the name will be transferred. Then, in the future, if your name comes up in a dispute on one of your other names, the case will be used as part of a "pattern of cybersquatting".

One way to avoid that is to use the Rule 17 procedure which is explained in the commencement materials you received when the case commenced on March 4. A further description of that is here:

https://www.namepros.com/threads/need-help-regarding-wipo-domain-dispute.1301187/post-8911794

and here:

https://www.namepros.com/threads/template-of-wipo-dispute-when-transfer-domain.1334115/#post-9244777

However, the other side is likely to be skeptical of an unrepresented party, and complainant's counsel is often unfamiliar with how the Rule 17 procedure works, that is why it can be worth considering hiring help for this relatively low cost and simple procedure.

Sometimes, if a "Response" consists of a consent to transfer, the panel will issue a decision that looks like this:

https://www.wipo.int/amc/en/domains/decisions/text/2016/dro2016-0013.html

...but not always. Particularly if the complainant's attorney has an ego problem which requires them to feel like they have "won" something.

Hi,

I've checked and found what it seems to be that 17 form

I see there are 4 fields that can be filled, I've numbered them as 1, 2 , 3 and 4 in the screenshot

I'm not sure if 1 and/or 2 should be filled by me or the other party

And I guess in 3 and 4 are for signatures? if that's the case, Is it valid type in or only by hand?

Once filled should I send it to the same email I reaceived it?

I'm considering if It would be worth it to send it in comparison with doing nothing

A help would be very appreciated again

Thanks

If you do not want to hire someone to help you, the good news is that the other side has already hired some lawyers. So, perhaps if you explain what you want to do, then if they would like to use this procedure, they can fill out the form, and obtain whatever other agreement they might want. Typically, they will want to know if you have other domain names with the mark, and they will want you to promise not to register any others.
