Help with .mobi coding

I am trying to embed in the .mobi page a "mailto" link.

I would like to get this ( or it's equivalent ) to work.

<a href="mailto:[email protected]?subject=Subscribe me to Mobi Daily Joke&body=Please send me a Daily Joke"><IMG SRC="http://Jokes1.mobi/joke-a-day.jpg" ALT="Joke a day"></a>

It works OK on PHP & HTML, but the emulator/tester is giving an error for "<a href"

Can someone explain why in simple layman's language ?

( I am just a simple layman )

and maybe any solution ....

Email on a phone isn't exactly... brilliant.

Why not have a form where they can entered their email address, and it emails you/subscribes them to your maillist instead?
