Have had an emailed enquiry for aerie(.)org. It is currently on offer (for an offer price) at Sedo. It gets quite a bit of interest there.

It has about 2m google (with 4 ads on that page) - http://www.google.com/search?q="aerie" - and is the name of a type of dog, eagle and apparently some Canadian beauty spot - Cool.

Good comment. I suppose it was more or less what to ask for - he is an end user, not sure what he will put name to use for. The .com and .net currently navigate to a clothing store.

i assume you mean how much should you ask for. If you have interest, start negociating. Assume they are lowballing you, so counter with a higher end counter offer.
Value is in the eye of the beholder. If they desire it, they will bid higher. Set yourself a reserve price in your head if you like. Factor in if you have any ideas for dev.

As for the name, it is nice but not a common spelling variant of several words. One non-obvious use would be flights to ireland or irish airline. Aer Lingus is the irish airline. AerIE.com is possible where IE is the code for ireland. So valuation depends on its use and desireability.

I have been asked for an initial offer price...

BTW thanks for the advice. rep added. I had certianly not thought of the Irish reference.

Pommy,

My rule for negotiation is never to give them a price upfront. Have them make an offer first. It tells you whether they are serious and it also gives you an idea of their desire for the site.

^ Good advice

however, in the sedo comment section for the domain it says you already have a set price for it.

"The domains in our portfolio have been carefully selected and a price has been set for each domain, after careful consideration of ten critical factors"...

I would remove that if you don't really know how much you want for them.

I love the landing page, PPC search engine thing you have done with it, I'd love to know how you set that up :) is there some kind of script you can buy to do that ?

Thanks
