Help with a .EU domain

I have recently found two .EU domains that I would like to have but unfortunately I live in the U.S. and can't have them. I have heard tell in the forums that there is a way around this provision such as having someone in Europe reg it for you and then turning the account over to you. Is there anyone that can help me figure this out?

P.S. if there is someone willing to help me, how can I be sure they are trust worthy?
