Hi guys,

I read in the rules and regulations but did not see anything about having a MAXIMUM amount of domains you could put in here (it mentions not doing several single posts). Hence, I hope this is okay and not against the rules! I was hoping for your help on the following 25 domains I have. Some were bought in 2008 and many were bought in the past few weeks since I have started to get back into the domain name business. I am trying to get a sense of which of these are worth keeping in my portfolio and which ones are worthless. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated! I also read about adult content but when trying to get to those rules and regulations the page said ERROR. Thank you so much. And, once again, if this is taboo listing this many domains in a thread please let me know for future. :) Slainte.

your pinyin may be worth something
ask your chinese friends here

the others--- I can't see it

It is pretty generic, but I think opticalapparatus.com could find a buyer depending on how saturated the market is with names related to optical lenses, thin films etc.

delightedto.com is interesting, although I am not creative enough to think exactly how a company might use it.

My personal favourite on your list is irelandpride.com Surely that has value if you can connect to the right potential purchaser.

Good luck with making sales of the ones you decide to keep!

(ps I am a newbie, and mainly study the new gTLD and domain phrase markets, so take this comment with a lump of coal in value... which I guess would go with investinfuel.com :)

Thanks Frank. I really appreciate the time you took to respond. I know I put a lot of names out there. I am not really looking for exact money appraisal, but just wanted to get a sense by the community (with much more experience than I) on what we may be worth keeping an not. A little deflating since the post has had 102 views and only two people have taken the time to help out. I hope this forum is not just a forum, but a warm, generous and welcome community. God knows the world needs more of it these days...

Hi Bob! Is your name Bob? Thanks so much for this. Your reply was honest and thoughtful. I appreciate that very much. I know very little about domain names. That being said, I have vast experience with a business. And like any asset or product in the world, the value is all individual. As the old saying is, one mans junk is another man's treasure and vice versa. It is all about finding your target market. The best sales people in the world will tell you with confidence that they could sell anything. And it is true. That being said, only a fool would enter something without going down every road, having immense curiosity, asking many questions and intense research. This is how the real masters emerge. This post is one of my many avenues of "learning the game". Your reply was very generous and intelligent. I am happy to meet you and wishing you all the success. Thanks again lad. Cheers.

jinjin dot com looks like an amazing domain.

as does IrelandPride

I am a newbie, so providing a thoughtful or credible numeric value would be hard for me. I know Ireland spends a lot on tourism, but I'm not sure if the pride falls into something that would work in that category.

Yes, the name is Bob here. I hope you will get some more replies from those with way more experience and expertise than me regarding your portfolio.

I did not comment in my first post, but jījīn.com (fund.com in Pinyin) - seems on the face very valuable to me, but I know absolutely nothing about the Pinyin based domain names.

The name ledforsale.com, has it been sold previously (I see it has been around since 2008). Does LED mean as in Light Emitting Diode? If so, while I see potential, it might be too generic possibly, and also (except as an electronic products distributor), people buy LED based devices, like street lamps or desk lamps etc., but not usually the LED themselves unless they are electronic hobbyists.

Good luck!

Hi Bob, man you are a smart cookie. The business I started when I was in my 20's was electronic component distribution. Hence, why I bought and have owned the name since 2008. I am still in the business today. You are absolutely correct and that was my gut on it as well. Yes, I am hoping my Pinyin domains have some value as I can't see myself using them in a business capacity in the near future. Cheers again for the time mate! Much appreciated. :) Slainte.
