I have nearly finished my first real site, I need to know how and where to insert my code from Google ads.

Not sure if I have to insert it into my HTML page or what!!!

Where abouts does it need to be placed????

Just place it in the HTML page, where you want it to be

You insert the javascript code into your html page(s) the same as you would any piece of html, depending on where you want it to appear.If you want it to show in the right column for example place the code in the html of the right column where you want the browser to dislay the ads.

generate your codes from google adsense panel and then copy/paste the entire code and place it in your site. no need to modify the code.

Guys thanks for your help, Did as you said with ref to copy and paste into the html, but for some reason when I go to preview it it only shows the text and not the actual ad.

Have I missed something here!!!

I do not know if this is your problem but you mentioned preview so I might assume you are using dreamweaver or simaler and they will put non breaking space in autoatically. Decide where you want the ads and paste it in the code view removing the &nbsp.

i don't see the google adsense code on your page viewing the source. Have you re-uploaded the modified page to over write the existing one on your hosting account?

Just done as you guys suggested, but if you visit the site you will see the results!!!

It is only showing the text of the script and thats it!!!!

That is where it is pasted into!! That is what I can not understand about the whole thing.

This is whats in your HTML. This is why it's "knackered". Replace all of that with :
